Aww thanks everyone. This was very easy to do and it was dumb luck that it fit 8 basic crayons perfectly (It's around 8 1/2" x 11"). It can be adjusted to hold taller pencils and markers too.
I found that ribbon at Michael's.

I just whipped one of these up for my son last week.  He's only 18months so his is for the big crayons.  I did lots of measuring and working out the math to get it just right and it's a little big, but now I know the right measurements for the next one I make.  It will fit 10 of the big crayons.

That's very cute!  I just ordered some of those to sell in my store (from a company called a piggy story).  they're supposed to retail for $20, which is pricey but they were so cute I couldn't resist them.  And I actually think YOURS are way cuter.  good job, ilovepaper!
