I have a question about the lining: Did you line each piece before you sewed the bag together?  In one of the photos, I thought it looked lke you did.

hey DRivero, you're right, I lined each triangle section before putting the bag together.

I must admit I'm not actually that proud of how I made this bag. I just improvised as I went along, and basically made four separate lined triangle sections which I then sewed together. I do like the look so I'm planning to make another one where I get some of the construction issues sorted out. I think making a separate lining would be part of this.

Hope that helps a bit, I'm looking forward to seeing your version!

Yup, I still love this bag with every fiber of my being.  Must.Make.One.too.  I have some vinyl but only one color......should I wait?  I don't know if I can. Grin

hey Daisygirl, thanks for the comments, and I'd say don't wait! Grin I think it could definitely work in one colour, especially with a contrasting lining. What colour is your vinyl?

And of course, looking forward to pictures if you do make one...

Thanks so much.  I'm going to try this, but I'm going to attempt to make the lining separate (because I KNOW I won't make the sections look as nice as yours!).  I'll post when finished.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye; then hey, free eyeball!

Ooh.. they are very similar!

You could almost think that I have seen this one before I made mine (if any one wonders: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=159151.0), but I assure you I haven't. If I had I think I would have made my handles in a different way beecause yours looks better than mine I think. I also think the opening at the sides is very nice, make it easier to get in to the bag all though I made mine narrow holding in mind all pickpocket so that depends on what you are going to put in your bag Wink A bag with my pockets and your handles would maybe be the ultimate bag, what you say!

I really like your bag!

Isn't this a great thing about places like craftster, it's really interesting getting to see different interpretations of a similar idea

Nice idea! I think you might just have inspired me to try another version of this bag  Wink I really like your bag also, so I'm looking forward to seeing your final version!

Lovely bag! I like the clean simple lines, the materials, and the lining color is perfect. Bravo! P.S. Wherever did you get those cute strappy sandals?

Now when you're finished say, "MY, what a lovely tea party!"
