thanks for the kind comments!

judodson, i can't really make a tutorial, but i can sort of explain...i just used the bodice portion of a pattern i already had for a simple baby dress, eliminated the buttons on the back, and cut the pieces out of the leggings.  then i cut the bottom off a tank top, making a tube.  i gathered it and attached it to the bodice, and added the neck binding and cap sleeves from the scraps left from the tank.  i serged the hems on the sleeves and skirt to make them pop a little more, and called it done.
would have been easy as pie--if my lower looper thread hadn't broken while i was serging the skirt hem.  wooly nylon thread = my nemesis.  it's like working with cobwebs.  despite the wooly nylon trauma, i will definitely be making more stuff for this kid.  girls are fun!

Heard about the guy who fell off a skyscraper? On his way down past each floor, he kept saying to reassure himself: So far so good... so far so good... so far so good. How you fall doesn't matter. It's how you land!
