i found a picture years ago in some magazine that works along the same lines, it was basicly shoe soles, (or clogs, mebbe) with heavyduty snaps around the edges and different tops you can snap on - essentialy the same idea, but with legwarmer type things instead of decorations - don't get me wrong i adore the decor idea.
i carried that picture around in my sketchbook for years, but i never figured out quite how to do it. thanks.

What kind of glue did you use to put the snaps on though? I imagine it must be some sorta of heavy duty glue to keep them on right?

I just used regular superglue. The snaps are plastic, so they hold on well.

Fantastic idea, I have already told some friends about this.  I just love multi functional transformative designs.  I was just in this fashion show that was all about transformative designs, will post the pics when I get them.  Great job!
