What kind of glue did you use to put the snaps on though? I imagine it must be some sorta of heavy duty glue to keep them on right?

I just used regular superglue.  The snaps are plastic, so they hold on well.

i finally got around to trying, but *sigh* it didn't work
i used plastic sew on snaps and glued the "male" part on the shoe
when i glued the "female" part on the button, it wouldn't go in cause the button closed up the hole.
am i making sense?
should i just switch and put the flat snap half on the shoe?
help please?

Yeah, you should glue the female part on the shoe.  They have held up surprisingly well.

Joanita,

Of course I don't mind!  That's what we're all here for, to bounce ideas off of each other.  The cloth mary janes idea is great, I wish I hadn't gotten rid of mine now!!!

Those are sooooo cool! Have you thought of trying different kinds of shoes? I'm thinking flip-flops for the summer!

I recently tried this with the snaps and it worked quite well but I really love the velcro idea! Just make sure it's really stuck onto your shoe!

What a cute freaking idea.

I think the googly eyes crack me up the most.

Milly, they sell razor blades over in the home decor/painting section of any sells-anything-mart.
