my mom calls those kind of shoes bumpers, i call them chucks because of the converse style of these. interesting the slang for one item can be so different.

anyway, those are really cute. i love bumpers/chucks/sneakers/pumps.

I was thinking of doing the same thing to a pair of rose pink colored shoes I've got, but isn't it hard to embroider through canvas? Was there anything you did to make it easier? And how is the felt caterpillar holding up? Very cute work (:
