I don't exactly know what to call it, but it holds paperbacks and it's done! lol

The thing is, my reading books keep getting squished in my backpack among all the big heavy chemistry books. For some strange reason I figured that if I had a little knit pouch for them, they wouldn't get so beat up. Looking at it now, I'm not sure it's going to help at all. I'll guess we'll see tomorrow.

I'm still really glad I made it though. It was fun sketching it, and planning it, then knitting it. It's a little hard to see, but it's got honeycomb cables on the side and bottom. Those are always fun to make. Plus, I now know how to make a button hole. Smiley

I think I'm going to have to switch buttons. Although it's a very pretty button, it's the wrong color.

Thanks for looking,
Daphna

What a neat idea! I like it better than a regular book cover. And, I think it will protect your books a little better. The edges and cover won't get smushed, bent, folded, spindled or mutilated   Smiley

Let us know how it works. If it helps your books I might try to make a crochet version!

Perfect for the booklover/knitter . . . I think I'd make one in a really soft yarn, then bring my book to bed with me and snuggle.  Cheesy  I'm wierd.

Very cute!  I should make one for my knitting journal, and then I could keep my pens with it more easily.

love it, the sides really make it!
i always hated it when silly huge books  Grin slammed into my innocent little books.
if you decided it wasn't working you could always throw a strap on it and it's a purse!

Very cool.  I have the same problem with books in my bag.

Also, I highly approve of your choice of literature.
