Cherry Blossom Purse finished!

I actually finished the purse a few weeks ago and have just taken the pictures. It took 2 weeks to make it. I didn't have a pattern and it was the first one I ever made so it's not perfect... but at least i learned from it.

Will I do it again? Not this kind of purse. It just doesn't work for me. I love it but I need to carry around a planner all the time and it just doesn't fit in there. I have my eye on another one. Not sure when I will get to it though most of my time is going towards getting my kitchen done.

What did I learn? When working with crochet you should sew fabric to the crochet to keep it from stretching.. I thought I took care of that but I'm still getting stretching... I also should have sewn the handles through to the lining. I think that is where I am getting the most stretching. Should have made the handles a little longer.

It looks very pretty, but the shape is hard to make out from the pics.  I like the cherry blossoms...is the black fabric crocheted, too?  Does the bag close with a zipper?  Maybe you could post a few larger pics?  Anyway, I think it's really cute!

No zipper. I put in a magnet snap under the big flower on the flap.
