There is, of course, a long story that goes along with this, but I think we can all just appreciate a turtle snake for what it is...

It's a combo:  Sheldon & Kimberly Chapman's snake.

Ok...

This guy that works for my husband was singing along to a George Thorogood (? I think) song, and one of the lines is "I gotta rattlesnake for a necktie".  This guy thought it was "I gotta turtlesnake for a necktie".  My husband thought that was pretty funny.  Around that same time I made Sheldon the turtle for one of my friends, and he thought it would be funny if I made the same thing for this guy, but with a snake inside.  Voila!  Turtlesnake!

Very nice!  Both the turtlesnake and the story.  I'm forever mishearing song lyrics.  Smiley

Good skills! That is such a weird combination, but it makes sense when you see the finished product! And there is a term for misinterpreting song lyrics- mondegreene. http://www.sfgate.com/columnists/carroll/mondegreens.shtml
