Its funny, I was in Bootcamp during Valentines Day a few years back and this one guy received an envelope that was kind of thick so he had to open it it front of everyone, it turns out his family thought it would be funny to send a few pages of the Victorias Secret catalog to him, it was funny but he got harrassed about it quite a bit. And post cards, well I would advise against them because my RDCs read all of the post cards out loud to the whole division, which was funny for us but not for the person they belonged to. But mail call is definately the most important time, so send as much as possible if a loved one in bootcamp Smiley

When I was in basic (MANY years ago!), my dad thought he was real funny.  He used to send me mail in joke envelopes with off color return addresses.  A little embarrassing when the drills are passing out mail!

ahhhhhhhhhhhh! I wish I could join in on this one, I was thinking the other day how fun it would be to have a military swap!  But We just finished inspection on a new house & my sewing machine is in for service *yet again* so I will have to sit this one out Cry  (our closing is right after sendout date & my machine 'estimated repair date' is the 12th  Angry )  But if there is a second round in the future I'll keep my eyes out to play after we've settled in the new house.

Me too!! Next week is Spring Break for the school I work at, so I don't have to work this week. If I really get working on it, I may be able to send out next weekend.
