For my boyfriend's birthday last year one of the things I got him was custom-made picks. I freehanded the image from the picks onto an altoids tin with acrylics. He loved it!

The red fuzz is his guitar case. Luckily it matches where the paint is chipping off haha

that's pretty inventive. Were the custom picks expensive? My husband is always loosing them and I just can't imagine how much that would cost over time!

Try this project I recently made.  It is made from recycled gift cards.  One of them is obviously from Target and the other is from Wal-Mart.

They are sort of expensive but I think it was reasonable, they are really good quality. http://pickfactory.com/
I haven't had to refill his yet but yeah, they fall out of his pocket all of the time.

Did you paint the acrylic on top of the printed details on the metal of the altoids or did you scrape it off before you painted on it? The design you made is gorgeous, really. Exactly the way my man likes it! Grin

I just made sure the tin was clean and dry and went for it. I'm hopeless when it comes to stenciling so I did it freehand.  Smiley

You really didn't need to stencil anything because it's absolutely perfect the way it turned out.. I showed my guy, and he was like.. "Me too..?" Haha, I smell envy Grin
