I recieved a great package from Dorkariffic yesterday!  She knit me a lovely aqua-blue scarf with the coolest stitch pattern.  And she stenciled me an awesome shirt!!
I can't wait to show you guys.
But unfortunately, I'll have to.  My camera's in the shop.  I'm hoping I'll get it back before the end of next week, but I've been hoping that every week for over a month now Undecided
Maybe Dorkariffic got pictures and she'll post them.

In other news, I attempted to send to both Dorkariffic and Knit_Core yesterday.  Would you believe there was one ONE(1!!!) worker at the post office on a Friday afternoon?!  The line was out the door.  And I'm not exagerrating a single bit.  So instead of wasting hour(S) waiting in line, I left and vowed to return another day.

ok well now im even MORE anxious!  i just got the most amazing package from her!  Shocked  i hope you are ready to PM her to ask her to the next dance!

first there was my biggest wish ever, a needle felting kit!  yay!

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/232/467411121_7ee820d367.jpg

contents: 3 needles, commercial felt, instructions, and pretty pretty roving!  hmm...maybe i need to find a date for next round who can send me more roving!  i have wanted to try this for so long.  and dont worry phizzy, there is a shop down the street where i can get the foam block and i might just ask when their next felting class it!   Grin

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/202/467411159_860ff5498f.jpg

some store bought goodies!  candy (i cant get enough of foreign sweets), smelly pens (i have smelly pencils in my wists!), monster highlighters which will be useful because when i substitute teach i highlight the plans and i hate digging in the teachers' desks to find a highlighter...so now i have monster ones that are going RIGHT in my teaching bag (my boyfriend thought these were candy too and wanted to eat them, haha)!  AND seeds to grow a bat plant!  ive never seen this plant, but i love to garden and grow houseplants and this is so awesome!

amazing jewelry!  bracelets inspired by my wists (an ocean one with matching earrings and an earthy one) and bat earrings!  she knows me too well!  this picture does not do these beads justice...they are all so pretty and different!  its like bead orgy!   Wink

bat goodies!  i originally asked her out because of our mutual love for bats!  here are some toy ones, a felt bookmark, a sewn felt keychain/bag charm which is going on my keys, a wooden magnet, a cute card, and notepaper from the uk's bat conservation trust which is too funny because i get monthly emails from the us bat conservation organization!!!   Smiley

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/226/467411193_abadb050e0.jpg

a perfect patchwork zippered pouch because i love patchwork AND pouches!  the farbics she used are so my style too!

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/211/467412969_0569e9e1d3.jpg?v=1177183311

a bat book and a guide to british bats!  this is great because when i teach i love to emphasize how much i love bats to my students, especially around halloween when we talk about nocturnal animals.  i teach a unit on it.  and i think i have bought every bat book this country has for kids but this one i've never seen!  and the guide is fantastic too!

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/207/467412967_ac6d383b43.jpg

lastly, a plastic bag dispenser which we DESPERATELY needed!  i had a pear one for the kitchen in my wists and i think im going to leave it there because i really really want to keep this bat one in my craft room (and believe me we need one upstairs too for all the bags we use).

phizzychick, i hope i didnt forget anything in the amazingly huge envelope you sent!  i cannot believe another item is on its way!!!  you really nailed my style so well!  i feel like we have so much in common with our likes and styles, that it was a blast to craft for you, but it was also a wonderful feeling to be spoiled with a package that was perfectly ME!  thank you!!!   Kiss  Kiss  Kiss
