This is a horrifying picture

http://renee.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/stripesweater.jpg

It is the short Row striped sweater from the Fall 2003 Interweave Knits.  I used Dalegarn Heilo.

Once again.  Horrifying picture (shudder)

I really liked that sweater in the Interweave magazine and I'm happy to see one in real life and in different colors. Thanks for sharing!! Now maybe I'll bump it up on the wish list!

of course I have an orange room!  My house is a total backlash against being a renter for 5 years.  The kitchen is as pictured (complete w/pink appliances).  The rest of the house is a modge podge of bright greens, deep blues, and orange orange orange.

Fall 2003.

It was the very first sweater I ever saw that made me drooly.  I lacked confidence in my skills at the time, but bought the yarn anyway and have been waiting for the courage.  I finally cleared my list of must-do projects and was able to devote the couple of weeks necessary to get this baby together!

I love your sweater so much, that I was actually thinking about it as I was walking to my class this morning... that's bad!  But alas, I have only just begun to work my very first sweater - hopefully I'll make it through.  I'll definitely consider purchasing the back issue of interweave for that, though!!!  It's pretty kick ass!

I *think* it was on 4s.  I can't remember right off what I used and the circ has already been thrown back into the big needle bag--oh what an organized knitter am I.   I'm a loose knitter so I tend to have to go down a size or two, but the gauge is 5.5sts/inch, so whatever you normally use to get that gauge will probably yield you success.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!  Sometime's its nice to step outside the knitting vaccuum.

I love that sweater! I admired it in the magazine, nice to see it actually knit up on a real person! Nice work.

and let me just add in . . . Ne rocks - she has been such a wonderful teacher to young burgeoning knitters in the Lexington, KY area, so kudos to her on that as well as her knitting skills!!!
