Oh my I just love the hippo! and the book!

I just made another stuffed DoR for my sister in law. It's her birthday and she does love Terry Pratchett. She actually has a tattoo of the DoR and Quoth on her back. So I whipped up another stuffie for her. He's currently naked though. I gave my practice one to a friend's kid, who promptly asked me where his skin is. A distubing question...

I agree about the book! The OOK inlay is particularly wonderful. And that hippo stencil is smashing!  Mad props on your cross stitch, too! I love the fonts. Smiley

Thanks, y'all!

Haha, the bigger font is actually one I made myself using a computer font and PCStitch (my mom has it, it's awesome). I couldn't find one I liked that was the right size!

I just received from my swapangel Angry Angel. I got some awesome stuff Cheesy

I'vge had the Eater of Socks that she made on my wists for aaages, so I was super excited to find my very own EoS in my parcel!

His name is Vincent and his sub-species usually eats goth/punky socks, but I need my socks so Angry Angel has trained him to eat wool and thread scraps. Hes gonna be really useful for keeping the house clean when I craft. Isn't he CUTE?!

she also sent me a shirt with "Frisky Pussy" on it (I have the Pratchett 'Pink PussyCat Club" shirts wisted), a cute gothy Magpyr themed choker in black and white and a stunning wrist cuff entitled "spring comes to Death's garden".

Sorry the photo sucks.

Close up on the wrist cuff (which fits perfectly despite my teeny tiny wrists)-

I'm glad you liked it Phantomssiren! And I'm impressed that the cuff fits, since I have really big wrists, & I tested it on myself. I hope Vincent is settling in okay!

Oh, what a lovely angel package!  Thank you so much, Angry Angel!

The wrist cuff is inspired - I love it.

Conley's package came!! Hooray! My original partner, sodalicious, disappeared  Cry but Conley came to the rescue! With an AMAZING package! Look at my awesome loot!

First of all, notice- she wrapped everything in pattern pieces! I haven't looked closely but one of them seems to be for an apron (how did you know I've been wanting an apron pattern?!). How awesome is that?

The first goodie I opened was luscious handspun yarrrn. One is sock weight (Lancastrian Sock Yarn, 50% cotton, 20% silk, and 20% lambswool) and the other is sport, I think (Unseen University Wool, 85% Acrylic, 15% wool). Yum!

Next I opened a Genuine Lancastrian Calorikerchief, which is the PERFECT color and I love it. See how much I love it?

and it makes my hair look even PURPLER.

Next was my "verra own macfeegle sized sheep"! SO CUTE

Then, Death Stitch Markers ("because even DEATH values the shock of a messed up pattern repeat") (I didn't have ANY knitting stitch markers, so hooray! Now I HAVE to make socks, no more excuses!)

also, they match my earrings, which have blue goldstone and bigger skull beads of the same type.

And finally, a perfect bag for the farmers market! Another thing I needed Cheesy
"Nanny's Knickers Bag"

Such pretty colors!

Thanks SO much Conley! You were the best angel ever and I couldn't have asked for cooler stuff! You rock!

Trying to find a name for the Calorikerchief was probably the hardest thing.... lol... do I call it a Calorikerchief or a Kerchiefimetry? (So named because like Knitty's Calorimetry, it buttons in the back rather than ties).

The bag was inspired by an article I read about San Fran banning plastic bags or something- and it made me think about how Nanny Ogg was always stashing stuff in her knickers. Nanny of course would wear wild knickers, because she's well.... Nanny! So her knickers would make the perfect shopping bag... especially if you're raiding King Verence's larders.

Yay! I'm glad you like the package- I was freaking out with anticipatory swap package received freak-ed-out-ed-ness.
