Omigosh, that DoR stuffy is so adorable! I only hope that if I ever have a wee big hag, he or she might enjoy playing with a stuffed rat skeleton, too Smiley

Oy vey!  How dense am I that I missed the lilac connection! Doh! Embarrassed

Anyways, y'all have really outdone yourselves in this swap - everything is absolutely fabulous.

Particular faves from the last week or so:

Feegle yarn! :: Errol goodies :: borrowing pajamas :: DoR stuffiee!! :: vegbee's Wee Big Hag (well, vegbee had to do some crafting to make her so adorable, right?! Cheesy)

I received from the Talented Ms. Millick on Monday, but have not seen my home in daylight for the past couple of days (this always happens when I take a holiday - too much work to complete before I leave!!), so I will get some tomorrow.

I did take a couple of not-so-great photos before I sent, so here they are... first is a blurry group shot. esme and I decided to do a small swap, so I sent her a bag in a style I saw on her wists with The Dancers sort-of stenciled on; some book plates; a cross-stitched bookmark and a little ceramic Great A'Tuin charm that I got for her when I was on vacation & put on a silk cord to make it appear useful.

Here are close-ups of the book plates and the bookmark:

You can't read the writing on the bookplate envelope very well, so here's what it sez: LIMITED EDITION ELVEN QUEEN BOOKPLATES WITH "BLOOD" ON -- FOR THE DUBIOUS PURPOSE OF STICKING ON THE BOOKS OF OTHERS WHEN THEY'RE NOT LOOKING SO AS TO LATER CLAIM IT HAD BEEN YOUR BOOK ALL ALONG [SKULL] USE AT YOUR OWN RISK -- DON'T WORRY, IT'S NOT REAL BLOOD WE'VE ONLY JUST USED SOMETHING RED

I didn't draw the fairy/elf thing myself... it's just some nifty clipart in a style I thought she'd like and I did a little photoshopping to add on the box at the bottom for your name and then printed, splattered, cut, and stickerized.

The Dancers I made myself by tracing some rocks from a picture of Stonehenge and then freehanding some others into a circle of 8... this is the "stencil" I cut out very poorly with the xacto and then instead of using paint I used fabric markers, because if I had tried paint they would have been some incredibly fuzzy rocks.

And that's all I've got. But maybe tomorrow we can see an action shot of the bag, eh? ::hint hint:: ::nudge nudge::

Hooray for covets! (You ladies are too nice!)

I just had a crappy meeting with someone at work, so your comments were a nice thing to come back to. Smiley Thanks!

Hey ladies,

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend.  Just wanted to post a couple of action shots of the gorgeous bag millik sent me, modeled by the lovely yellow pompom bush outside our apartment block.

And a verra sexy lining shot (complete with knitting, of course!)

Ooookayyy, so I haven't heard back yet from Sodalicious as to whether or not she wants me to post pics, so I'm going to anyway! Cheesy They're not great because I took them at night but I think you'll all get the idea.

Here's the whole deal. The shirt is actually HOT HOT pink but the colors are off from the yellow lighting in my dining room. Tongue

Detail of the shirt:

I love this stencil so much that I'm making shirts like this for myself and my sister's birthday. Where's My Cow is the BEST KIDS BOOK EVER.

My favorite item: The Librarian. Yep, the whole orangutan! Except that he's not feeling well right now. In fact, his morphic field is so off that when he sneezed... he turned into this book... (you may recognize it from The Last Continent!)

Inside

The Death-style bookmark...

Can't argue with Death! Get reading!
(also, this is my first piece of cross-stitch since I was 12!)

And finally the extras. A ship (sheep, for all you non-feegles) tape measure, and one of my favorite discbooks, Men at Arms.

Ok so maybe I did go a little photo happy, but I really liked the stuff I made. Tongue

I really really love the hippo!  My husband and daughter read where's my cow all the time, and the hippo noise has gotten more extreme (more...constipated?) over time.  I agree, best kids book ever (except when your two year old starts 'bugglit'ing at her grandmother  Cheesy)

The librarian book is pure genius too!
