Very girly baby blanket

First of all though, let me say that this is my first post of something I've made.
So... please excuse me if the pictures mess up, are too big/small, or something else screwy happens.

And now, I just have to give you a quick story.  I grew up watching my papaw quilt; he was amazing at it.  (I hope to post some of his work sometime)

It's been a few years now since he passed away, and I've finally decided to follow in his footsteps.  He was definately a huge influence in my life.

So, before I get too long winded, here's my first try at making a quilt!!  (I was a little hesitant at posting this, because of all the amazing quilts on here, but my boyfriend talked me into it.)



I borrowed the machine my papaw always quilted on.  It's about 50 years old, and has seen quite a few quilts in its time.  (Excuse how goofy I look, haha)

My only regret is that I didn't get to hand quilt it, but I kind of ran out of time...
I'll just have to hand quilt my next quilt, I guess!
(That, and it's a little wonky in a few places... but not so bad for a first-timer, I hope, hehe)
