My brother saw these in SNBN and has been begging me to make them for my little niece.  She's only 2 months old now, so I plan to have them ready by halloween.  Yours look great!  What yarn did you end up using?

Hee hee, thanks for your compliments, you guys are so sweet. And funny.

What yarn did you end up using?

Debbie Bliss cashmerino DK, using 3.75mm needles for the hem facings, tail, devil point and drawstring, and 4mm needles for the bulk of it. I modified the pattern, though.

These look amazingly adorable! I have been dying to make these for my 2 year old neice... They don't look too difficult... maybe for her birthday. Smiley 

They're pretty easy but the pattern is too brief/abbreviated for my taste, as with all of the SnB patterns.

So cute! I always wanted to knit those for my son but hes too big now. I still haven't knit anything out of SNBN, i'm a bad knitter.
I myself have made barely anything from the books, actually! Most of the designs seem a bit dated now.

you could always knit for charity!  baby clothes are a great way to practice for adult clothes...
