Ga all i've been able tofind are 1965 quaters... its driving me insane!  Do you know if other coins, like tokens from arcades or what not can be used?  How about dollar coin?

check out the tutorials hun, they're super duper easy to follow and you'll get it right away

any kind of coins can be used.. most have copper centers, but like the one dollar pieces (us) they're new.. they're kinda fun to work with.. i've been messin with 'em.. otherwise check ebay and antique shops for coins dated before 1964 Wink

SO cool!  how did you do it without your dremel Huh 

it was a MESS.. i lost a lot of skin on my fingertips lol.. but i used a drill.. drilled out the center as much as i could and then wrapped sandpaper around the bit and sanded out the inside... i ended up touching up the ones i had made like this with my dremel

my dad made these when he was younger, tried showing me how and gave me one that had been already started ( silver one, using spoon method)  I couldn't continue it though because of the lack of drill. i think they are awesome though.
