First up, I'm going to show you the awesome stuff I received from around last week (sorry - I've been lost lately in a world of 7am starts, of gym workouts, and of... oh mi god... loungeroom rearranging and cleaning)

A big big bag! It's all nicely smooshily padded, as well, so it may occasionally turn into a grocery bag for fruit & veg.

Can you tell that around is from Florida? Apparently they have a lot of oranges there Wink Nah, this stuff is great. Sponges for dishes, sticky notes, magnetised note pad, and recipe cards. I can't stand cooking, but I've wanted some recipe cards for a bit, so I can write down the details of what other people cook for me, in the vain belief that I'll replicate it one day.

Who doesn't love this retro imagery? A stack of cards and envelopes, which I love, and which will be put to good use.

Finally:

An Emergency Housekeeping Motivation Kit. "Serenity Now" was something I'd been shouting to myself about a month ago at a very stressful point. I like it very much. I also fully agree with the 'housework whenever' sentiment. I THOROUGHLY agreed with the bag of peanut butter M&Ms that was inside the box.

Why oh why will they not sell peanut butter M&Ms in Australia?Huh?! I am so very very very thoroughly addicted to them.

Around also put in a tin of chocolate covered coffee beans (yummers) and a CD of house-cleaning songs (YAY) Music is very important in the event of a random housecleaning. I am renowned for being physically unable to vacuum anything, unless the song 'Onion Skin' by Boom Crash Opera is playing loud enough to drown out the vacuum cleaner. Cheesy

Thank you around! This stuff is great, and I love it.

I love the EHMK! I seriously need one of those...

And, I love the retro image note cards! I am so kicking myself now for not buying a color printer when my last one died...

I can't wait for my package!

Prepare to be jealous and amazed by the awesomeness that CraftADDChick sent to me!!!!
First the Crochet hook caddy:
closed with the tag (from the end so you can see the pretty ribbons too)

from the side

opened up, full view

is that not THE COOLETS crochet hook roll EVER!?!?! It's SO much better than the typical ones with a tiny slot for hooks! I can put any size (or several) in each tube and label them!!
next, the notepad. in case you can't read it "crafts to do today" on top and "housework to do today" with one line in the tiny box in the corner

an emergency dish cloth

She also made me a set of Fungi magnets, but I had a such a hard time getting pics that after the 10th try I gave up! They are marble magnets with various forms of Fungi!

SSSQQQUUUUEEEEE!!!!!!! Two Mrs. Frizzle pendants! I can't wait to wear these to our work day at school on the 9th! (we both teach science and have been called the Frizz, so we bonded over her!)

OK, I LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING in the package but this almost made me cry it's so cute!

A dust critter, complete with species information!
I somehow deleted the group shot with everything... SORRY!
I have to say that I think my partner is the BESTEST in the WHOLE UNIVERSE!!! Everything is awesome, and she even typed little info cards for each item that look TOTALLY professional!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU a million times CraftADDCHICK!!

I'm also going to post photos of what I sent to around, but I thought I'd wait a little bit first, to let her items get their full dose of approval and admiration.

Yay! Valsped, I'm so glad that my package arrived and in one piece! And, I'm thrilled beyond belief that you are happy with it!

Since he was so hard to give away, I'm just going to have to make myself a dust critter, too! And, the fungi magnets, too! I just have to wait until I get some more science supply catalogs so I can cut out the pictures!

This swap was so much fun!!

Okay, I'll post a couple of quicky photos I took of the stuff I sent to around.

First up: an apron (one of the sort that you tie around the waist. I've been making a lot of them lately) with "FOR DECORATIVE USE ONLY" stamped on the bottom corner. I think it's hilarious.

Then a knitted dishcloth - first time I've picked up knitting needles in the last 12 months or so. I sewed on a little tag that says 'Not for use in wet areas'.

I'm kinda known for finding strange things funny. I love these washing up gloves. There's three or four layers of white lace sewn to the bottom of them, which makes them so heavy they fall down constantly, rendering them useless to use in the sink. PERFECT! Pretty... and functionally useless. I love it.

And, a bracelet:

Aren't we all?? Wink
