Hey, I used a piece of fairy scrapbook paper and gold tissue paper to decoupage a plain wood accent table.

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best

Thanks y'all!  And it was no skill required except tearing and gluing.

Aww, byonic_girl, it's so easy.  You can totally do it.  I just used regular matte Mod Podge (not the Paper Mod Podge because ironically it makes paper wrinkle more) and a small roller for the top. Then I just stuck the paper down and to help get rid of air bubbles I smoothed it with a rolling pin, then rolled on another coat of the Mod Podge on top to seal it.  For the tissue paper, I painted on the Mod Podge with a brush and tore pieces of it and overlapped them and painted more Mod Podge on top again. When it was all dry, I actually didn't much like the variations in color from overlapping the tissue paper so I did a thin coat of gold paint over it. Sprayed it all with acryllic sealer and done.
