So, I needed 2 washers, but the hardware store had them only in bags of 50.  So, what to do with the other 48?  Make a bracelet, of course.  I'll wear it every time I go to the hardware store, which is much too often.

This is way too awesome.  It looks like modified chain maile.  I love it!  I used to do chain maile and I even made a purse totally out of poptops.  I will have to get a picture.  This gives me so many ideas!

Actually, it's not MODIFIED chainmaille, it IS chainmaille.  All chainmaille is is mesh...which this is via the way it is attached.

I am a mailler, but my illness doesn't allow me to do much of it right now...all that repetitive motion isn't good for my muscles.  But this was so quick and easy, that it hasn't seemed to affect me.

love it-- I love the stuff you find at the hardware store, reinterpreting it. This is particularly successful, well done

Thanks for wisting me.  This is so light, it's all aluminum, that it might not make your hand go numb.  I just made a necklace, and am going to wear it tomorrow.  I don't normally wear necklaces, as I have big ahem, well, imagine, and a short neck.  But I made this one to settle at just the right spot.

This is AMAZING. How have you woven the washers together? I'm a mailler too and I've been trying to figure it out from the pictures, but having just popped out of lurkdom I thought I'd actually ask...  Grin

That is too cool. Is it comfortable? It looks a little jagged. I'd wear it even if it was.  Cheesy
