Thank you all so much for the super sweet comments.

I've mostly been wearing the dress around the house over a pair of jeans... it's a pretty comfortable top!  Hopefully I'll be able to wear it out somewhere nice soon!

This is so cute, and it's funny that it's been updated because it reminds me of a 60's mod dress.  How did you gather the top?  Is it difficult to do?  I love it and I hope you get to wear it somewhere soon.

The bunching at the top was pretty time consuming.  Using the extra fabric I had available, I made a band that was a bit wider than the actual dress.  Then came a lot of pinning, bunching, sewing, and some more bunching.  If I ever do a project like this again, I'll try to put up a tutorial.
