Eeeeep!  My first project post here!  *nervous*

So a couple of years ago I found this huge bag of vintage crochet thread at the thrift store...but I didn't know how to crochet.

Since I'm hugely preggo and can't knit any sweaters or socks for myself right now (and am procrastinating on baby stuff since the hubby is still not convinced we're having a boybaby), I decided to teach myself how to crochet...so naturally the first thing I did when I got the hang of it was dive in the stash for that big old bag of thread...and here's what I came up with:

These little granny square things are soooo addictive!  =)

Except now I don't have any time to knit!!

So pretty!! I started crocheting last week and granny squares were the first things I practiced on. I love them. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy (inside and out Wink)

One of the main reasons I learned (am learning) to crochet is the granny squares. They're awesome. You did a great job, I never would have guessed you're a beginner!

My husband also wasn't sure our last son was going to be a boy, despite my assuring him he was.

Awww, thanks guys!  =)

I love granny squares!  They are meditative in a way that nothing I've ever knit has been...I just get sucked off into the crochet twilight zone lol.

You did a great job with just being a begginer. I like the colors. They go good together.
