Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I just moved to Broadview Heights in May! I never realized how far away it is from everything. Even just to go to Jo-Ann's I have to go to Fairlawn. (I'm like inches from Summit County) Where do you shop PaperAddictC?

Hi oneeyedsally! I do most of my shopping (crafts, clothes, housewares, etc.) in Fairlawn, just because it's easier to get to. I do mostly papercrafts, with some very sporadic cross-stitching. If you go further down Route 18, there's also a Michael's on the left (across the driveway from Max & Erma's). And across the street there is Archivers, where I do the most shopping. They're primarily a scrapbooking store, but there's so much crossover for cardmaking and home decor in papercrafts. If you do needlework, have you been to the Crafty Ewe?  They're up on Broadview Road, right before Marc's and next to Michaelangelo's Bakery. I think that's the only needlework store nearby. If you are up for a drive, there's a nice quilter's store at Grand Pacific Junction in Olmsted Falls, and there's a great needlework store in Olmsted Falls, not far from Grand Pacific Junction. The owner is very nice and fun - in her 30s and her mom works there with her.
Where did you live before BH?

I grew up in Parma Heights, then went to school at Case so I lived in Cleveland Heights for 4 years, then I moved to North Royalton because I got a job in Barberton, and now I live in Broadview Heights whew! I pass through Fairlawn on my way home from work every day and often stop at Jo-Ann's and/or Archiver's. Mostly I do sewing, with a little bit of knitting/crochet, and I've made 1.5 scrapbooks and I really need to get back into it. I've never been to that Michael's though, mostly because Jo-Ann's is one stop shopping for me (I buy looots of fabric!). I don't do needlework but I'm always willing to check out new quilting stores!

I'm a student at the university of akron, living here in highland square. but i graduated from/my family lives in broadview hts. i lived in parma for my first 8 years of life, too. if you find yourself in cuyahoga falls, stitch piece 'n purl is great for yummy yarn, classy skeins of floss, and some quilting fabric. soft 'n sassy on broadview (little blue house up near craft ewe) has lots of yarn as well. pat catan's is the best place to get your normal craft supplies, you can't beat the prices. what else what else...  ok broadview hts.-ers i'm melyssa and i graduated in 2006. i wonder if i know you. small small world!
