My best friend is expecting a little girl in a few months.. These are the first letters I've done and I must say I'm rather pleased!  Grin I just picked up some wooden letters at Hobby Lobby, Modge Podged scrapbook paper onto them, then glued the embellishments on. Thanks for looking!

And this one's for Adyson, another friend's baby:

I love making these as gifts for new babies! And not so new babies, too (Here are some I made for a swap http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=149589.msg1533275;topicseen#msg1533275) Smart girl using craft paper! I always obsess over handpainting and make myself crazy for days. This is such a simpler way, I must steal it:)

What a great idea!  I always wanted letters like that for my daughters room, but I can't paint at all.  I never thought of using paper.

I love your letters.. they look great! I could never do that! All I did was give my letters a quick coat of coordinating (pink) paint.

Genius idea! I always love those wooden shapes but since I have no artistic ability, I always walk away from them. Now I have an out! Smiley Sweet!

I was just having a nosey about to see what you had posted ... and I came across this thread.

The letters are fantastic, and something I've been thinking about doing for some time.

Yours are an inspiration for me.
