hehe WYOKrista, couldn't help it XD cause i had all these ideas that were either crafted into reality or had to recycle because i kept on finding awesome crafts online XD (and i learned how to crochet cause of this swap ) so now that i am finally done - i just had to tease a tiny little bit

anyway, the package will be leaving canada tomorrow officially (i didn't know our post offices were this slow XD)

squirrelgirl - you're so lucky you work in a comic store! so far i've only been reading mainstream comics like calvin and hobbes and bones (more graphic novelish) and tintin (even in french XD) ... where is your store located? (i'm interested although there's a fair chance it'd be nearly impossible to check it out if it's in the states )

Since this was a rejected craft idea for the swap (sparklypants said she wasn't keen on lizards), I went ahead and did this on my own with my sisters over spring break and just thought I'd share since it won't give anything away.

I love the lizard jewelry.  In fact I have lots of those plastic lizards that I have been going to do that with but just have not taken the time.  Now I want to.

i've always wanted a chameleon for a pet! or little salamanders at least but my parents don't think i'm "responsible" enough... ah well, there's another thing on the list of things i'll do when i move out...eventually

I LOVE LIZARDS AND REPTILES IN GENERAL!! I have 4 leopard geckos, a house gecko, a black knight anole, and a iguana.
and I tell you ninjanator they ARE a lot of work and they can cost a bit to feed. The house gecko eats crickets, the leopard geckos eat meal worms, the anole eats pinky mice, and the iguana eats greens and some fruits. In all it costs about $35 a week to feed them and countless hours to do the actual feedings. Im not saying your not responsible, Im just saying they are a lot of work and you need to make sure you have the time and money to spend on them!

I bought my son a leapard gecho and we love her.  I do not find her real high maintenance at all and ours eats crickets.  It costs us about $3 every week or two to feed her but we also have to feed the crickets.  I chose her because the pet store owner told us that she was one of the lower maintenance to see how my son would do.  I would love to have a bearded dragon but I know they are more expensive and more high maintenance.  For a starter lizard I suggest a leapard gecho or a blue tongued skink.

crickets are good for them as well, but its so much easier for them to eat the meal worms because they can actually get stressed out by chasing the crickets down. I just hate crickets, they smell so darn bad!! we actually breed the meal worms so it helps as well. I think I need to make a spiffy meal worm box for them to live in!! You can have so much darn fun making hides and the such for your geckos as well.
