I suppose I'm a housewife...oh no wait, I'm not married anymore, but I'm still cleaning up the same crap everyday, and I'm still  a mom.  Does that count??

But yeah, flylady.net is good, I'm working on the flylady stuff myself.  I'm working on getting rid of clutter, and setting up routines for myself and the kids so that we can get everything done that we need to...meals, housework, schoolwork, artwork, playing.  I'm really starting to think that less stuff, and solid routines are the way to go.

And I'll have to check out that magic eraser thing.

I have one,  I don't know if anyone posted this or not , but here goes.  If a child has a bloody nose and it gets on the carpet, use peroxide, yes I said peroxide, and water to scrub it out.
It works, my child has alot of nose bleeds.

getting back to what donutgirl said about the Flylady website -- i love it!  they have great tips for getting and staying organized, and making it seem pretty simple.  i don't do the whole program, but have picked up great things like the "27 fling boogie!"

Oh how I love the 27 fling! I have a problem w/ keeping crap around that I don't really have any use for. This helps a lot!

TY for posting the Flylady link! LOL. It's EXACTLY what I've been looking for! I now have a shiny kitchen sink and you can *almost* see my sewing table.

With any luck, this will actually progress instead of regressing!

OK for those of you with small children, how do you keep them entertained all day?

My gosh is it hard. Art projects, playing outside, reading books, baths, cartoons. I try and limit videos but if its raining its hard. I was always against tv, even for myself until I had my daughter. Now she is two and I started letting her watch A video to keep her ocuupied while I washed dishes, prepared breakfast... Now she's obsessed. She wants to watch all day, well not watch but have it on as background while she plays. I try not to but on rainy days its challenging. I'm not technically a house wife any more< i just started working part-time. Boy, it is sooooo much easier than staying home all day with her. But I'm already having second thoughts and am not sure how long I'm going to last. She's doing fine but I'm having withdrawls.

I think everyone knows this.  To clean out a stopped up sink.... Baking soda, and vinegar.  Let fix up, and then run hot water into sink.

yippy for the haus fraus Grin (though i'm not married to my fella just yet)...

for disinfecting things (counter tops, toilets, ect.) keep 2 little spray bottles on hand, one of white vinegar (i love vinegar...it rules) and one of hydrogen peroxide.  spray 'em on, and it disinfects better than bleach, and is wayyyyyyyyyy less icky (toxicly speaking) than a lot of cleaners you could buy...cheaper too Cheesy
