I've never made socks though and don't have a little girl to knit for either

Yah, I always tend to get a little miffed when there are a lot of patterns for kids. I guess thats not really fair of me.
 I have a step son but he's at that age that if i started knitting him something, by the time I'd finished, it would be two sizes too small.

that's FANTASTIC!!!! and there's a video game motif for socks!!!!!!!!!!! *dies* Oh how I wish I could make socks.....

I've been checking for a while now to see when the new one would be up. And the first thing I see: SPACE INVADER SOCKS whooohoo. Totally awesome, I need to make some to match all my other knitted SI gear.

I like nearly all of the patterns - but i don't know how to knit socks either 

I'm thinking about maybe knitting Monica for my daughter (without the ruffle - she's not a ruffly girl), and maybe Isabella for myself (as much as I like it - I'm not exactly something I'd wear though...)

The only disappointment I have is that Vestee is only in sizes 12 and 18 months - it's something I would like to knit for my daughter - but she's a size 4

I LOVE those "Queen of Cups" socks....must knit socks, must knit socks, must knit socks......
