i just got some good priced jersey knit fabric off ebay and this the the my most recent creation. and i was trying to make it nautical/sailor ish like... with the pockets, i was trying to go for the pants style that old timey navy guys used to wear with the slant pockets and buttons...but the buttons were a little much and i had these tiny stars that i stuck in there.  overall i enjoy it!

That's a cute neckline and blue IS my favorite color. Are the socks part of the outfit or just something you were wearing by chance taking the picture?

You know, the red socks do fit the sailor theme. What do you think about adding some white buttons in front?

Overall, this is a nice dress. I like!

thanks for the compliments.
the red socks just happened to be the sock of choice at the time...now that you mention it they do fit the sailor theme!
i got the stars from hobby lobby, i think they're meant to be used in scrapbooking?  they're like little brads? i think thats what they're called.
the top still looks a little bare to me, maybe buttons there would be good...
anywho, thanks again!

This dress is awesome!  I love the look of it, and the pockets, neckline, well, you name it!  I think buttons would be awesome.  But they would have to be BIG buttons.  Maybe two on eack pocket, or three going down the midle of the top, I dunno.  Great dress though.
