Because it was too cute and funny not to post... these bags also make great cat beds!

Both of my cats have used it as a bed in the past week (it's headed for the wash, now)

I was wondering what measurement you used for the front pocket and if you changed anything to accommodate the piping?

Oh man, it's been a while!  I really need to make one of these for my daughter (she's only 10 mos but we've been on a few trips and I hate not having a cute bag for her!

The pocket is the same width and around 2-3 inches less in height, I can take a look at one of the bags and measure it to be sure...
And nope, nothing needs to be changed for the piping.

Thanks! I've been wanting to make a travel bag, and it seemed almost perfect, it just needed a little something extra, a pocket and piping! This is perfect.

I'm curious, but why do you have to hand sew in the lining on this bag? I have made a number of bags similar to this and never hand sewed the lining.  I have a hole in the lining that I stitch up with the sewing machine at the end.  The zipper is all machine stitched.  Is there something I'm missing?
