Leaving the world more beautiful than I found it.

I have decided that the cutest possible costume for me and boyfriend [considering our being both being presently plump] would be our favorite ogre couple.

So I have questions.
I am a wiz at the fabric parts and I am planning on making the ears out of wire, headbands, and foam clay.

What I am wondering is if anyone has good ideas for making him bald and giving us green hands?

I assume trying to make face paint might result in the both of us looking sort of icky for the following few weeks. so I think I am gonna just buy it.

Most homemade face paint has food coloring in it... and green food coloring is awful about staining your skin!  So you're right, the best option is to buy it.

They sell "bald head caps" at most costume stores, you put it on over your hair and use liquid latex/makeup to make it blend in with your skin.  Then you can put the green makeup over top of it.  They look pretty realistic if you do it right!  He could even glue the ears right to the cap with spirit gum or liquid latex instead of wearing a headband.

Green gloves might be best for your hands... most makeup will rub off fairly easy, and you probably don't want to stand still and not touch anything all evening.  You might be able to spray-paint latex gloves, I'd test it out before Halloween though, because I've never tried it.

Cute idea, I hope it turns out well!
