Hooray! Finally finished, and shipped off to a friend in Alaska:



And the obligatory inside-out shot. Not as fluffed-out as some I've seen, but warm enough.



The IK pattern was written fine, although the thrum bit left a lot to be desired (illustrations would have helped). I used the Yarn Harlot's tutorial on rolling thrums, left many un-circled -- i.e. looked like an AIDS ribbons rather than a figure 8, if that makes sense.
