Hello everyone!

I finally made my own shirtdress. I took an old shirt from my father:

Took off the arms, made it a lot mor fitted, added a small band out of the arms and added the skirt part (out of the arms too). Then I put little sleeves on it.

Here you can see the sleeves better:

And here the skirt:

Itīs far to short to wear it as a dress. I allready wore it over jeans and  I got many compliments... although it was more like a test. I want to make another one out of a more beautiful shirt Wink

My newest reconstruction is a pullover. I took a to big pullover...

(I allready started to rip of the seams here but it didnīt look very different before Wink

and made it into this Smiley

I really really like it.
What do you think? I would like to know what you think about the fit of the pulloverīs arms. I took the pattern from a bought pullover and if it is good I would like to use it again... But I donīt really know if I should change it and how.

Thanks for looking and help:) Magdalena

I've been doing stuff like that with my hoodies too (minus the cool designs)...did you just trace the store-bought hoodie or did you take it apart to use as a pattern?  Because it looks good.

It's hard to see the fit of the arms, as they aren't really in the picture, but from what I can tell they look like they fit well.

And how did you do the design on the front?

I really love the pullover, it's just too awesome. I just have one question though, is the pocket functional? or rather, did you remove it and then sew over it?

I love the shirtdress! I'm envious you can wear a drop waist- so in right now yet so difficult to pull off. Great job!
