I'm going to call it My Grandmothers Basement.

Oh, I LOVE this quilt! Great name, too.

I hope you consider entering this in a show. When I go to quilt shows, I like the quilts that have character and humor the best.

I couldn't see the ants under the lemons, I just assumed they were "magic lemons" that got bored and decided to get out of the jar and walk around. Yeah, I should probably go get some fresh air.

I have a bunch of food fabrics and one of the quilt shop gals suggested I do a jar quilt. Thing is, I had no idea how to do one. Thanks so much for the link to some instructions.  Grin

I love to make the quilt tops but my hand quilting isn't that fantastic. I would die if a room full of people were examining it right up close. I've seen those ladies in action at quilt shows. hahaha. I tried machine quilting and couldn't stand doing it. Oh well. I'd rather entertain from afar. Cheesy

I know the feeling - someone suggested I enter my purple/yellow quilt I just finished in a show but I couldn't bring myself to do that since I don't think the quilting is intricate enough on it.

That is so awesome!  I love your style and the fabrics you used-- it looks like a mixed-media piece.  Beautiful work.

Eeee!!! I LOVE this quilt!  It's completely different, and very well done.  I collect quilts and blankies (DH calls me the quilt whore), and would love to add a jar quilt to my collection now that I've seen one!  Great job sug!
