Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

No, the jars are pieced. VERY simple pattern to do. I found everything online here http://www.geocities.com/quiltfrenzy/bottlequilt.html
The mice, snake, ants with lemons, and spider are applique. I put them on with steam a seam and then machine button hole stitched around the edges. It really went together quite fast actually. Looks much harder than it was.

I look at your quilt again and what I thought were eggs walking around were actually lemons. still it's an awfully busy pantry, even if you don't have walking pickled eggs

Thank you all for the kind words. It's really a fun quilt and quite easy to put together. If anyone makes one I'd love to see what you come up with.

Wonderful, I'm in awe!  I am in the process of making a childs themed jar quilt right now but it's just going to be rows of jars.  However, I have enough material collected to make myself a fruit and vegetable one and I may just have to 'steal' some of your idea.  Thanks, too, for the link to where you got some ideas.

That's kinda awesome that somebody wants to steal my ideas. hehehe. Steal away.

I always read posts that said how addictive jar quilts were to make but I never 'got it' until I made one. Now I'm thinking I want another....or is it that I need another. hahaha
