how about putting vanilla beans, cinnamon, or cloves inside of them for yummy smells?  or essential oils?  please be careful with sprays or 'air freshener'- it's bad for your sense of smell and for your body...
any herbs you like would work (dried) well too, just like a satchet...

Grin thanks everybody! I just learned to crochet a couple of weeks ago, I found the stitch library/how-to section at www.crochetpatternc entral.com very helpful. I only learned the fpdc & bpdc stitches to try to make these!! and thankfully it's not as hard as it looks...
thanks again for all the great feedback!!

Those are darling! I'm not into sushi, but I even love that one  Tongue

I'm going to raid my grandma's "scrap yarn room", and make some of these.  I have an idea for the cupcake.  I'm thinking white "cupcake", green "frosting", and red "cherry" on top.  That would be very Christmasy  Grin

Thank you thank you.   You just gave me a great stocking stuffer for my sushi-addicted friends.  I'm going to tie these onto their Christmas presents.  They're adorable and you are very talented.  Thanks for sharing! Grin
