Hi all.

Well I finally fixed my sewing machine, and I decided to finish off a project that I've been itching to try for a few weeks now.

This skirt was made from a bright citrus round tablecloth and an old worn out brown skirt.  I cut a whole in the middle of the tablecloth a little bigger then I wanted so that when I connected it to the waistband it would gather.  I accidentally cut the fabric on the waistband so I added some fabric detail and then decided that the skirt needed a little more to it.  I raided my button supply and attached 3 super cute buttons to match the skirt.

The skirt can be worn up at the waist, or lower down on the hips due to the elasticity of the waistband.

Here is the action shot -

Here is the skirt on a hanger -

Last of all here is a close up of the button detail -

So, what do you think?

Cute skirt!  That fabric looks eerily similar to the fabric I made my kitchen curtains out of!  I like the button choice and placement, too.

That is so cute! I love the added waistband. It makes the skirt even cuter.
