I recently came up with this project - I absolutely love how it turned out, especially the colour combinations.

It can be used as a recipe box or an organizer - it can hold several mini file folders.

It was a pain to figure out all the measurements for this first one. I made another one, tweaking any areas I wasn't happy with, and it turned out much better and easier to make.

I think it would make a really cool Mother's Day gift...

You can now find the tutorial for this project on my blog:

I love LOVE that. Where on earth did you find that beautiful paper? And the elastic on the side matches perfectly. Great job!!

Thanks for the wonderful comments!

The paper is actually scrapbooking paper produced by My Mind's Eye. I think this particular design is from their Magnolia collection and is called 'Serene "Our Family" Floral/Aqua' (this is the info I found on the back of the paper).

As for the matching ribbon, I just happened to have this ribbon in my stash - it was perfect!

I'm actually planning on teaching this project at a local scrapbooking store, so I'm presently working on the tutorial. I'll post it here as soon as it's ready.

Thanks for the great comments!

Hi I was  wondering if you ever made the tutorial. I am part of MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) and I love the idea for a mom's project day.
