Here's my take on the Lacy Hug-Me-Tight from Tracey Ullman and Mel Clark's Knit 2 Together:

This was a bit of a challenge only because I redesigned a lot of the details to suit my taste. Other than that, the pattern was just loads and loads of k2, p2 ribbing! I used Blue Sky Alpacas' Alpaca & Silk, which is my current favorite yarn, so I loved worked on this even when I was frustrated with design elements!

More details and pictures can be found on ye olde blog.

That looks gorgeous!  I'm horribly cheap, so I've squeezed Alpaca & Silk and lusted after it, but never found it at a cheap enough price to justify making an entire sweater out of it, but that's lovely and looks like it uses fewer skeins than a big old sweater.  Hmmm....

I love your color choice, and the lace is really pretty.

Your alterations are great!  I like the more understated look of your lace detailing.

The vertical ribbing on the back looks so much better than other patterns' horizontal ribbing, imho.

Thanks guys!

Jejune: I had a gift certificate to kpixie, so I could finally splurge on 5 skeins of this lovely yarn!

iridescent: I'm all about the vertical lines!  Wink
