I would have put the wording onto the original somehow, but I like to have something tangible as the finished product. I love the look of this. Perhaps you could print the words onto temporary tattoo inkjet paper and transfer them on that way? You'd get the same look that way but you'd have the words on the real thing rather than "just" on the computer. But if you're happy for it to be digital, leave it digital. It's very striking anyhow.

Fantastic meanderingartist!  I don't know what you would call it. I call mine enhanced digitals but that's because they start out digital and I print them and then play with them. Mixed media would work or you can come up with your own name for them - that's the cool thing about ATCs - there are no rules except for the size!

I've done a few cards where I started with a base of a digital card then modified it ... I just call them altered digitals.  They were digital to start, but now they're not ...

I know there are no rules in making atc's, but I do not want to appear misleading when I trade by calling it something it might not be
By the sounds of the responses this morning, I guess as long as I describe the techniques used I would be ok

talyra Thanks for the tattoo transfer paper idea...I would rather work directly on the card, but I don't like my lettering . The beauty is, since I scanned and then lettered I still have the image and painted background to mess with. And for some reason this image and background is very appealing to me, so I think I will try that!

Baby Boy still inside, though it's starting to look like he might be coming out over the weekend. It is a little past 3 am here and I could not sleep on account of contractions...

The story behind the card is - yes, I look like you pictured me (though I am rarely tinged orange), the pictures behind me are all pictures of friends and their kids from a mommy and me forum I ran up until about 3 months ago. We had the most terrible falling out over something really stupid - the location of a group picnic, and split up into two forums. It was such a big part of my life, and these people who were supposedly my closest friends just vanished from my life with such ease, that it took a while until I felt that I could "breathe again"...

*huggles* I'm so sorry to hear that. I guess that's the problem of the Internet. It's a weird old place, it seems so much easier for silly things to get out of control online. Hopefully you'll be able to make up one day.
