Cthulu monster with metal warp

Ok, this is my first post at Crafster, so I may do it completely wrong... Aaaand.... I think I made it. Pictures are where they are supposed to be at least...
I made this about two years ago on a weaving course. It got copper wires as warp and a black stretchy fabric cut in strings as weft. I also put in some thin red metal treads occationally. In the front and at the end, I used copper wires as weft too and when i cut it down, I could twist it to a tube like thing and shape it as I wanted to have it.

Wow...very interesting.  With a lot of planning, you could do some really neat scuptures in that medium.  Thanks for sharing the idea and pictures.

WOW I really like that, using wire never even crossed my mind.  That opens up a whole new are with weaving.  Thanks so much for posting that.

We put in metal threads (copper I think) as warp. Don't do this in a new and nice loom, it kinda wears it down. But if you got and old and shabby one just standing there....
