thanks you guys! i'm planning on painting myself some more mushrooms too, i've used up all the polka dotted brads in that pack, and i don't really NEED any more of the other designs, so i don't want to buy more... plus, i need bigger and better mushrooms!

i posted a few more ATCs, but i posted them under the march card-a-day gallery. they're right here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=154900.msg1566485#msg1566485

hope you like them!

p for the p, q, r swap (Q&R haven't been received yet!)

pieced together, then cut, then sewn onto batting and backing fabric before trimming it and zigzagging the edges. the back label was written on white cotton which was then wonder-undered onto the backing fabric. the p is attached with a brad.

and a few for the movie swap, (two more still need to be received)
The Color Purple http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088939/

the first layer is purple vellum, and there are images from the movie pasted onto each layer below. the first beneath the vellum has the movie poster, so that it would show through. the layers are attached with a purple brad.

each layer is a different shade of purple.

the girl on the bridge

The Girl on the Bridge http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0144201/
i was gonna do a different movie, and then i googled this movie and fell in love with the imagery! the guy's a knife thrower, and the girl becomes his whatever you call the person you throw at. they go around together for a while before seperating and after they separate, they realize that their luck doesn't hold unless they're together. so hence the word "luck" spelt out. i added the dice for the same reason, and to add colour (i took apart an earring i made last year - i totally thought i owned dice beads!). the entire movie is in b&w, so it was hard to make the ATC more interesting.

layers of vellum again, this time with images from the movie printed on each one. the layers are held together with white grommets, and then beads were strung through the grommets.

I love your latest cards crafty_dame!  The patchwork one is awesome!   I've been thinking about trying fabric atc's, so thanks for posting such a great one!

I also love the movie ATC's...the layers are amazing and though I haven't seen The Girl on the Bridge, the pictures are so moving I'll have to see what I can do to find it!

thanks you guys! the fabric one was a bit fiddly, but it was fun. i used proper cotton quilt batting, i imagine if you tried to use the crappy plastic batting it would be a LOT more fiddly!

i know! i really wanna find that movie now!
