My husbands grandmother is in her mid 90's, and she's almost blind.  I wanted to do something nice for her, and since she can only see huge contrasts in colors, I came up with an idea.

This is the final product:

I'm super proud of it, and we think it'll be a stark enough contrast so that she can see it!

Any and all comments will be appreciated.

So everyone knows, it's been machine quilted in concentric squares. Cheesy

Fabulous!  I wasn't sure I'd like an all black-and-white quilt, but this is really pretty.

aww thanks!  I wasn't sure I'd like it either, but I really do!

I didn't get to give it to his grandmother yet, we're visiting her in April, but I wanted to have it done.

It's FAB! I've been collecting fabrics for a quilt using the same colors. Mine is going to be 2inch (finished) blocks.
I know your Grandmother (in-law) will love it!!
Good job.

Oh my goodness! This is so funny to me because I was planning out doing a black and white quilt for my "black and white room." (I really heart toile)

Its gorgeous and now I'm really inspired to get cracking on one of my own!
