I just got a new sewing machine, and I want to venture into making some crafty things as gifts for family, friends, etc.

I'd like to start making little pouches [for change, id, cash], pencil-size pouches, purses, baby burp clothes, lingerie bags [drawstring if possible], cell phone/ipod cozies, laptop bags.

I've looked through a few pages on the boards, but was wondering if anyone could point me to some easy-to-follow tutorials on making these items, it would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if there is a great easy-to-follow tutorial on how to attach zippers to the pouches, as well as buttons, that would be great if someone could point me in the right direction!
