OK... i feel really stupid right now... but i got all the way to row 5 without any problems... maybe it's just because it's 2 in the morning and i don't want to put this down, but i am not understanding row 5 at all....

"sc in the next cluster"- where am i putting my hook?
"2 sc in the next ch-2 space"- same question as before....

i think i just need to go to bed and pick this up tomorrow... but if anyone would like to make it a little clearer for me that would be great...

on row 4 you completed cluster stitches, which gave you a little lacy V pattern and chain-2 space to create the cluster, now on row 5, you sc along but in the cluster, and then sc in the chain-2 space.

I hope this helps  Smiley

The Ladylike Lace Gloves are one of the patterns in the Happy Hooker errata posted at Bust... (

I recommend downloading it; looks like it would really help. (I googled "Happy Hooker crochet" as soon as I got home with my copy last night; by pure chance I noticed it! A copy now lives in my copy of the book.)
