It's that time again. Best day of the week, in my opinion! Wink

Caramel Temptation

85% Wool/15% Mohair
2-ply, bulky weight
4-ish oz.

Mostly caramel colored, with hints of dark chocolate brown and white mohair. Reminds me of ice cream!

Midnight photos aren't the best... but I'm impatient.

The roving -

Can't wait to see what everyone else has spun up!

Ok, this is my first attempt at any kind of novelty yarn, and I'm not sure I'm pleased with it.  But in the pictures it doesn't look too bad Wink

Apologies that all my skeins are 'mini skeins' but I just have not had ANY time to craft lately.  But seeing everyone's stuff on here has me really inspired to try and create SOMETHING each week, even if it's not alot!

*Ignore the yellow green, that's the ties on the skein.  Do you guys take your ties off before you skein/photograph or are you just good at hiding them?

What can I say? I joined Craftster just so I'd have a place show off my handspun to people who appreciate handspun. I've only been spinning since december - got a wheel as an unexpected but much welcomed gift.

This is what's on it right now: some BFL I hand-dyed in black, lavender, light pink, and sky blue-

Plied, coming to about DK weight:

Singles (Yeah, I know, it's terribly blurry, but I was more concerned with showing the color here):

And the first thing I KNIT out of my handspun, a slightly modified version of the 'knucks' pattern from Knitty. I'm calling the color of yarn Circus Vomit (this is corriedale, which I seem to like best out of everything I've spun so far):

i'm so sad i don't have anything to show this week!  maybe i'll just take pics of what i have on my spindle.

i looove caramel temptation!  such a nice color!  I think i have the same thing of roving in turquois/white/black.

Lyme, let me take the opportunity to welcome you to craftster!  you are going to love it here.  Some call it crackster!  I love those colors so much, did you dye it yourself?  so nice!

I was up late hand-dying some yarn last night, so i'm pretty out of it, but if i can get motivated to drag out my camera I will post some spindle pics.

I'm still jealous of your rainbow polyester roving Soth! I tried ordering some, but she wouldn't ship it overseas.  I think that's what the email said anyhow Smiley

Yum! Everyone's yarn is great. I didn't get to spin much this week, just some merino 2-ply...

And, a bunch of wool came in the mail, so I got some dyeing done...
