Two jersey skirts made into one dress. I love it! It's reversible - you can wear it either way around. I'm not sure which one I like better - the Vneck side or the square neck side. What do you guys think?

And of course the obligatory twirly shot!

That dress is beautiful; excellent job!  I love the colors.

I just bought a bunch of 60" gray jersey knit (cheap cheap cheap; $15.00 incl shipping for 5Y) on Ebay to practice serging with, and a circle (or half circle) skirt is on my list of things to make.

the versatility is great. Smiley I really like the deep folds when the skirt hangs straight. I can't decide between the v or the square. both are nice.

I can't tell from the pics -- is the top just made by laying 2 symetrical rectangles over the shoulders, pulling the V side to the center? or is there a shoulder seam and the V and square sides were each cut separately in different shapes?

This dress is excellent, it looks fantastic on you! I'm not sure which way I like it better either... I think the square neck, but you're right, the versatility is great!

I immediately liked the square neck, however like several others have said the versatility make it nice, you could work either depending on the look or your mood. I like the color combo also. Nice job.

thank you all so very much!!

each top strap is made with one piece that are more trapezoidal than rectangular (to be able to make even allowances for seams, although I guess if you had rectangles you could just sew accross them at an angle). this is so that the fabric lies flat and does bunch on the side that ends up being longer because of the angle of the strap. does my description make sense?
