I was just wondering if anybody from my group ever received from chloe_hippy.  I'm pretty far away from her, so it's possible shipping is just taking a million years, but I'd really like to start on my bear, so I'm wondering if I should just give up and cut replacement parts.  So anyhow, I was wondering if those closer to her had ever received.  I don't want to cut parts and then have them arrive in the mail a few days later!
i didn't get mine either.

HE LIVES!!!!

Okay, it only took me about 3 months, but my Frankenteddy is finally finished! Thanks to: Brianknits, Homerof2, Igobylorib and pinkstars69- (Team Pooh Bear) for sending such great fabrics! I had my doubts about what he was going to look like when I finally got it all together, but he came out way better looking than I expected!

I stitched his mouth and belly button (he has an "outie") on today, so he is officially done!

Great job craftADDchick - I recognize some material on him!

I have mine about 3/4 done but keep doing other projects instead because, like you, I have my doubts about what it will look like.  But seeing yours, I just may get inspired to finish mine.

How about anyone else?

I just added in the back view to try to show the rest of the fabrics. When I went to the fabric store to get some embroidery floss for his nose and belly button, I brought him with me. The woman at the register recognized some of the fabrics as being sold there (JoAnn's)!

And Homerof2- You should finish him up! It may surprise you- My friends were skeptical  too, until I finished putting on the eyes and nose and stuffed him. They liked him better than my original practice bear (the grey fleece one). Okay, now I think I need to go and crochet... Wink

Mine is a small bear- he's between 9 and 10 inches tall when he is sitting down. I think a large one was posted earlier (dragonslair, I think) and it looks enormous!

This small one didn't take as much stuffing as my first one (of gray flleece). I think that because the fabric was all cotton, it didn't have as much give to it, so I didn't have to worry about over-stuffing. My grey fleece one looks much "beefier" than this one.  Cheesy

Thanks and I can't wait to see your finished bear!

here is my frankenteddy, Franklin Teddy  Wink!! i had a lot of fun making him! the fabrics are all so cute! i couldn't help myself, i had to add a tail!  Grin one of my body pieces was too small, so i sewed it onto red fabric first, that's why he looks like he's wearing a vest on one half!  he's about the same size as my bulldog, princess, who would love to chew his nose off..... Undecided  oh, and yes, those are cat eyes   Grin  he is 27 inches from head to feet, and his head is bigger than mine! (and that's saying something!)

thanks to group smokey bear for the fabric pieces!<3,  SmithyBoy
