You Can't Take This Clock From Me (Now With Pictures!)

This is my geeky Firefly Clock.

The base was an old clock I got at the thrift store for $2. I then used a steel air duct piece to make a big circle to go around it. I scratched and dirtied-up the metal, then used a nail to put holes in the edges so that I could sew a suede cover on the sharp edges.

I printed out and laminated pictures of 12 of the show's characters, then attached magnets to the back so I could move them around or change them out for other characters later.

The background of the face is the Serenity symbol without the writing that I washed out and then glued on.

Whew, uploaded with mere seconds to spare...

I don't know about the show, but the clock sure is cool. I especially like the magnet part, to move them around. The duct metal looks cool too, great work!

I'm always willing to plug the show, but this was a clock idea I had bouncing around for awile, I just needed a theme. ^^

That is a really neat clock, I loved the show and movie, the magnets make it even cooler, and it even looks like it could be part of the ship. Great Job.

You clock made me sing! Yay I love it when I know that I have company in my crazy obsession of a cancelled show and awesome movie. I think this clock would go well in one of the crews bunks, or in my bedroom, either one. I love the look of it and its flexibility, that you can move the pictures around. I think i'd have twelve pictures of Simon... he he he.
