Thanks for all the compliments!  It was REALLY hard to limit myself to 5 because everyone is offering such great stuff, but I knew I'd probably have some sort of nervous breakdown if I tried to whip out 10 skeins by the deadline (I'm down with personal swaps if people are cool with waiting a little longer for yarn-yay for the barter system!).

I'm in with beaded barrettes. They're the same style barrettes as last time I made them (round 6), but the base layer is seed beads, with a swarovski crystal design on top. My prototype is upstairs, so I'll try to get a pic posted tomorrow if all goes well. Incidentally, I intend for the swap to be for two barrettes.

This is my first sweat shop swap, so please correct me if I'm thinking like a fool.  I was just thinking, wouldn't it be easier to "shop" for our 5 (or 10) items if this thread was not clogged with comments (such as this one).  I mean, the original SSS8 thread is already 37 pages long.  Just a thought.

Hi CraftyCarrie!

In previous rounds our goods were gathered up and listed on one page and linked to the items we posted by the organizers.  Now we have the power to search by ourselves using the handy "Show Images in this Topic" button.  Hope this helps.

Here are the pictures of my items, both are spinning/felting wool:

The first is hand carded green and yellow rolags, here is a picture of a big pile of them.  There are several different colors of green.  I haven't decided if I'll try and make each pack one color or close to one color or if I'll put a little bit of all the shades in each pack.  If anyone has any preferences, please let me know.

The second item is hand dyed / hand painted rovings/tops.  I've got a couple different things going on here.  I'll have some that are just big long stretches of roving in one color way, like this:

And some that are lots of smaller pieces in a variety of colors, like this:

I'm thinking each pack will be half and half.  One good long piece in a single colorway and then a bunch of the smaller rovings.  Also, this is only about half of what I will need for the swap, so you might not get these exact colors.

Hey Sweat Shoppe Swappers!  This round I'm offering Cotton Water Bottle Cozies and Felted Coin Purses.  I'm not home right now, but I'll post pictures of examples once I get home!  Everything looks so good.  I was only going to do one set of items but there is just too much good stuff!

Ok you guys, I am back in the dungeon! My computer issues continue~ We have taken our router back to that place grrrr Angry. HTey gave us half credit since we have had it for 20 months, although they are claiming it is the router causing the problems that have been there since we got everything set up! WHATEVER!

So that puts me in the office area of our house... where it is a little more difficult to be on line as often I was... the kids know the instant I am in here they will have at least 6 minutes to get into whatever they can!!! And they use every minute of that time!!!  Smiley

So, I have 15 PM's to answer, and I swear I am getting to each one!

Don't worry, I will not go one day without at least checking PM's!
Thanks everyone!
Java!
